The Festival Production Management Training is the most recently developed training format of The Festival Academy. It focuses especially on production management in terms of realising and implementing the vision of the artistic director.
The 3-module training is set up as a long-term programme which explores all phases and challenges of producing an artistic work, the role and development of your function, during all modules guided by festival experts.
Module I of the fourth edition of the Festival Production Management Training will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, from 16-19 January 2019, and will be hosted by deSingel International Arts Campus.
The programme of Module I is not only a great occasion to meet colleagues from all over the world, all working in different contexts and disciplines, but even more an opportunity to spent 4 days together, guided by experienced professionals to learn from and exchange with each other during in depth presentations and discussions about the topics that concern you in your development and work as a festival production manager. After the introductory session participants can move on to Module II, a placement at a host festival and Module III, a concluding session.
“I didn't expect to receive a miracle solution to make my festival a success in my country; everybody's experience is related to their context and realities, but I gathered a lot of inspiration and I'm happy to take all these insights back to Dakar.” Gnagna Koné-Cramer, Senegal, participant FPMT 2017
