Global Short Docs Forum (GSDF) is a new initiative connecting filmmakers of documentary shorts with digital platforms.
GSDF will host 16 filmmakers selected from a global call, to attend a 4-day residential workshop at the Frontline Club in London. Filmmakers will benefit from invaluable pitching training, mentoring and masterclasses from industry experts and one-to-one meetings with decision makers.
GSDF are delighted to be partnering One World Media in an exciting new initiative connecting international filmmakers of documentary shorts with digital platforms – the Global Shorts Doc Forum. It will host 16 filmmakers selected from a global call to attend a 4-day residential workshop at the Frontline Club in London. Filmmakers will benefit from invaluable pitching training, mentoring and masterclasses from industry experts and one-to-one meetings with decision makers. The Forum is open to applications from all parts of the world for documentary projects up to 30 mins, either in production or in development with some existing footage. 16 filmmakers will be selected to attend a residential workshop in London on 15-18 May 2018, all expenses covered including travel. There is an application fee of £25 to be paid by the filmmaker.
GSDF lead partner One World Media is a non-profit organisation committed to excellence in media coverage of the wider world, with an outstanding track record of supporting new filmmakers and journalists through its Production Fund and regular events and workshops, as well as through the One World Media Awards. The call for applications for the first edition of the GSDF is open now and the deadline is 9 February 2018 so don’t be shy – we want to hear from you!
